In this presentation, we teach the basics of creating authentic spaces. This session forms the foundation on which to create authentic spaces in your organisation. All other sessions build on this foundation. This session is a prerequisite for other sessions in the Creating Authentic Spaces series of events.

Sexual Health

1 CME Credit  [ 1hr ]

In this session, we look at sexual health issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community, and how to talk to people of this community about their sexual health.

Challenge the Status Quo

1 CME Credit  [ 1hr ]

This is a more in-depth look at diversity and inclusion, and builds on the introductory session. This session focuses on internal systems, processes, the culture of the medical practice, and the benefits that inclusion and diversity offers.

Custom Training

If your organisation is seeking a custom training regarding Gender Diversity, to best meet the unique needs of our space or services, we can help. Reach out to us and we can work together to create the training or lecture that can best serve your needs.

Medical Interventions

1.5 CME Credits [ 1.5hrs ]

In this session we look at the role General Practitioners and other health professionals play in the healthcare of trans* people. In particularly we will have a look at treatment management and what medication side effects to look out for.

About This Event

The “Creating Authentic Spaces” events, have been endorsed by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) and have been approved for credit for the General Practice Educational Programme (GPEP) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) purposes. 

We deliver this in four professional development presentations sessions that focus on diversity and inclusion in a practical and reflective manner to enhance your practice both internally and externally.
